It’s been a long year. The year 2020 will go down in history as a trying year to say the least. However, with all the trials and tribulations, I was able to discover a bit more about myself.

For starters, I learned how to cut my own hair. Never in a million years did I think I would EVER have to learn how. However, with my favorite salon shut down for months, it was either learn how to or go around scaring everyone for the next few months.

A female entrepreneur in Florida, who publishes You Tube videos under BeautyCutright was my saving grace. I owe much to her for taking the time to record fabulous step-by-step instructions for people like me—chickens when it comes to cutting their own hair.

In spite of Covid, with CDC guidelines in place, I was able to reopen my photography business, finally. I’d missed chatting with clients and meeting new ones because of the lockdown. It was wonderful to interact with people again and provide the quality service that they needed and wanted.

Covid had us all in a frenzy

I discovered that many of my clients needed to do a boudoir shoot just to reconnect with themselves and do something positive and affirming in the middle of all the chaos and uncertainty.

Also, many of my clients were applying to medical school and needed professional head shots. In spite of Covid, they had obligations and hopes for the future. They had a job to do.

My personal discoveries this year have been enlightening and they’ve made me appreciate what can be done when I have no other choice, when my back was against the wall, and when I had to come out fighting for my life.

I know you’ve probably had those same types of realizations this year.

My hope for the remainder of 2020 and the new year 2021, is for life to return to some type of normalcy and that we all continue to do what needs to be done.

My intention is to continue to serve my clients with professionalism, joy and appreciation.
